- BoatCopExplorerIf it's vinyl and just cosmetic, I'd think a few CAREFUL runs with a heat gun would smooth out the wrinkles.
- TurnThePageExplorerSeveral joints in my Pioneer ceiling are the same way, but not as bad. They weren't there when brand new. I think they're probably assembled too tightly and those wrinkles are from vibration and shifting.
- ScottGNomadThat piece of trim has a I-beam type profile and captures the edges of the two thin ceiling panels. Who ever put it together slid the trim piece in without being careful and snagged the vinyl material. It's not going to hurt anything and it could maybe be covered by a wider piece of wood trim.
- BBdawgExplorerThe shop Service Manager and one of his technicians say it is a factory defect and is only cosmetic. I am hoping to find someone with experience with this problem to let me know exactly what it is.
Most of the ceiling seams are like this one. No other damage of any sort any where else. New roof within the last 1-2 years.
Thanks for responding! - Dick_AExplorerHas the dealer offered any reason for the wrinkled ceiling. Personally, I would not purchase the unit without seeing what it looks like above the ceiling and having the problem repaired. I smell a red herring. Remember the original Fleetwood went out of business in that era.
- ScottGNomadI don't think that has anything to do with moisture. It looks more like someone installed that trim piece in too much of a hurry and snagged it as it slid into position. It may have been that way since new or they could have replaced that ceiling tile for various reasons.
If you can live with the look and there's no signs of water damage anyplace else then I'd say it's good to go. - wkswensonExplorerWe had something happen that looked like it.. due to water moisture. Ours was due to a water leak in the roof, but that looks like internal moisture. Just my 2 cents worth.
- BBdawgExplorerOK, I think I fixed it..
- ScottGNomadCant see the pic :(
