2012 Cougar Ultra lite dining light repair
The switch went out on our dining light and I didn't mark how I took it apart. Now I'm not sure what wires go where. From the ceiling I have 2 solid white wires that come down together and 2 white/red...

that one black wire is only a break in the power line. the switch turns the connection of the power to the light. there is only two ways to wire that switch working or backwards. in other words if you put one side or leg to the switch and the other to the other leg, the light will work when you press on, if wired back wards it will come on when you press off. so just reverse the wires and it will work for you.
