I've never found cash to be of any real value when negotiating a vehicle sale from a dealer. If you get a loan from a bank, the dealer still gets cash, they just get it from the bank instead of you. And often for the lowest price they want you to take a loan from their preferred lender so they get percentage (kick back) from the loan. Sometimes to get the lowest price you have to take the loan, then pay it off after the first month.
And, with as well as the stock market is doing, leave the money invested and take the loan - yes, past performance doesn't guarantee tomorrows results and the market does have to slow down some day.
