220 Volt mishap
I went to plug in my RV inside my parents shop my dad had wired. The outlet is a 220 volts with three prongs. Something similar you would plug in a welder or compressor. I used the 30 amp RV receptac...

You have 3 wires......black, white, green
Wire a 30A RV receptacle in shop using those 3 wires
Connect wires in AC Circuit Panel
Black to 30A Circuit Breaker
White to NEUTRAL bar (remove from CB and connect to Neutral)
Green to GROUND (It should already be there)
Now you have a 30A Service in shop......get a new 30A to 50A adapter and plug it into 30A RV Outlet and your 50A power cord into adapter.
Otherwise you need to pull another wire of adequate size (#6) from AC Panel to shop to properly wire 50A RV outlet.
DO NOT DO what you are DOING............PERIOD!
