My battery charger let the magic smoke out this morning. I'm in need and looking for a new one, the one that I have is no longer made. I'm looking for a bottle of black smoke, but can not find one compatible with my model. A lot of places I stay I only have a 15 amp outlet. I use a battery charger / 24 volt batteries / inverter for power. Where I don't have power I use a EU2000I generator.I'm looking for suggestions with a lot of battery chargers have messed up PF and don't play well with smaller generators. I'm not sure if I will have any issues when using a inverter generator.

You are certain you need 24VDC? I can't recall any RV that runs on 24.

I have a 12v x 45A as an emergency power conditioner. These units will accept virtually any lousy input voltage and charge your batteries--or act as a power supply.

Yes I need 24 VDC. I have a bus conversion not true RV. There are very few 12 volt items and they run through a step down converter.

I'm not sure about the Vector charger. I kinda like to use stuff that is made for the job and not patch electrical stuff together.

The excellent Iota DLS looks like it is the winner.
I will call around in the morning and find someone that will get it out on over night shipping to me.
I hate running my Oran it makes to much noise.

If my magic bottle of magic smoke doesn't work, I'll also recommend the IOTA. I have almost $1mil worth of microwave radios on very remote Mtn. tops floating on IOTA's and AGM's, and they are all lucky to see anyone in under a year. They just sit there and run.

I still can not find the right smoke in stock.

I found someone that has a IOTA about 2 hours out of the way to my next job. I talked to the owner and he told me he would pull someone out of the shop to make sure I got it installed right and would test it before we left.

The more I read up on IOTA's the less I want a marine grade battery charger like I was running.

The marine guys typically pick IOTA if they can't afford the more expensive chargers.
