I do it. I admit to it. I place blocks under my jack pads and tongue jack. There I said it.:)
I also admit that I like to build cribbing out of 4 x 4 pieces of lumber for the jacks.
Why?
Because I like to do it. Not because I'm not as smart as someone else, but because I like to. Sure I could drop the stabilizers further, but that's more cranking. I'd rather drop a few blocks on the ground and crank less.
There is a theory that by cribbing under the blocks the stabilizers will be more stable. I have no idea if this is true. Ultimately I don't really care if it's true, It seems plausible to me and it doesn't hurt me, so I do it. Plus it's kind of like using Legos, or to use a more up to date analogy, it's like playing Minecraft. :)
