- rje1448ExplorerThanks.
I took it back to the dealer. They called me and told me that they found that the refrigerator was wired from the factory for "reverse polarity" which they think is what kept blowing the fuse under the front left corner of the trailer by the tongue that protects the battery. And this is the reason the battery would not charge.
Has anyone every heard of something like this, and does the explanation make sense? - skipncharExplorerThe first two issues SOUND as if the battery may have been (even for a second) been hooked up with polarity reversed. When this happens MOST converters will blow a fuse designed to protect against reversed polarity but if this happens NOTHING will work until the fuse is replaced. Double check and be CERTAIN that the white cable is the ground cable (negative lead). If your converter does not have referse polarity protection then there will be no fuse to blow but when hooked up backwards the fridge is one thing that will not work. Lights, water pump etc. don't care which way it's hooked and slide rooms will simply run backward (push the in button to make them go out).
As for the water sensors, they are notoriously inaccurate and when filling your water tank you should fill it until water runs out around the hose. IF you run the water too fast it sometimes will back up and over flow even when it's not full so keep the pressure flow low when filling. Chances are your sensors WILL become more accurate with use as they get any mineral deposits off of them. Best to learn NOT to depend on them.
When the bath tub won't drain or water backs up into the tub/shower, the gray tank is full. When the kitchen sink won't drain or back up into the sink, the galley tank (if you have one) is full. When you flush the toilet and can sese liquid when looking down the throat, the black tank is full or near full. When the water pump doesnt pump water and is making far less noise then usual, the FW tank is empty.
Good luck / Skip
