If the trailer model normally comes with a hardwired 30 amp cord and your particular trailer has a detachable 50 amp cord, then it sounds like someone switched out the original cord.
Looking at the two 32ft mallard trailers online, neither shows and option for 50amps.
If you bought this new, I would definitely be suspicious of the dealer.
Personally, I would return the trailer and find another dealer.
Even if they didn't add the 50 amp cord, they should have identified the issue right away.
If the did add the cord, then they have shown themselves to be incompetent at best.
