Why do you think Keystone puts soft start on the A/C units if not to be powered by solar/battery/inverter?
Plus my system proves it can be done, I do it. I'm cooling a 42' 5th wheel. And depending on ambient temperature and how cool I want the RV, I sometimes have no drop in SOC.
