PROVEN reliable big-rig truck socket

PROVEN 100-times more UNreliable than above socket

About 20-years ago I started refusing to repair, replace or have anything to do with garbage RV tow connections. Forget the arguments. Instead use the time for making up a 7-way to 6-way adapter when "something else" has to pull your trailer. A 2nd adapter when you are forced to pull a trailer with a cruel-joke connector.
I almost bought-the-farm in 1975 when a THREE MONTH OLD Cole Hersee connection failed the trailer brake connection.
In the top photo, see the SPLIT pins? When a connection eventually gets dirty a flat blade screwdriver is inserted and the pin is spread SLIGHTLY. This re-initiates the pin to socket wiping action.
Try to convince a big-rig driver to switch over to six way RV connectors and he's liable to pull a gun on you.
The 7-way authentic connector has 30-ampere connections with a 40-ampere ground pin. In non-commercial use the 7-pin will last, oh say, 40-years or so. Spread a pin in seconds.
RV connectors are a genuine JIM VARNEY grade, hoot.
