31 October Trifecta

Halloween is a great time for some monkey business.

We handed out salty snacks....their BP won't be a concern until their in their 40's.

The neighbors kind of expect a new costume every year.






It has become a tradition...have also been a cow, clown, giraffe & penguin. I go for the "funny" on a scooter...although the clown did freak out a few people....WEIRD :?

It is a joke - a chuckle...

In the USA the kids hammered on my door because I gave away full-size Snickers and Mounds.

But I much prefer the Mexican custom of visiting gravesites and honoring and celebrating the lives of los difuntos. The observances are a mixture of sadness with celebration 1 Nov in observance for deceased children (agewise) 2 Nov for adults. The kids romp and chomp candy skeletons, play the game Oca while adults sip Tequila or brandy and remenisce. Touching family togethernes with beautiful flower and candle memorials. The kids have no complaints. One LEGAL transplanted girl age 11 remarked of halloween "This is an insult to my grandma and my grandpa".

my brother and his family and friends did this every year for many years, before the kids were grown

Just don't try that in the campground in Hershey PA, it is the biggest celebration of the year there. And the kiddies will knock on your door even with the lights off.
