$35.00 Amp Hour Meter

"It's low amperage" you say.....

"Chintzy metering gauges" like showing 13.7 volts instead of 13.79 No tenths of an amp. LCD tiny unlit screen. Hah! That price must be without a shunt.
..

Wait! I got it! It doesn't measure both directions. $29
99 shipping...taxable!

This "Smarter Than I Am" device won't let me cut & paste the URL. So you'll have to wait until I get my laptop to a hotspot.

BTW This is a 300-AMP meter and shunt combo and yeah it measures and keeps trsck of comimg and going amp hours...

  • Here is one of the two I bought. They are offered with different size shunts. It's not the quality of a Trimetric. Especially the shunts, once you get up to 100A and up, they are not on an insulated base, so you have to futz with that to come up with a mounting system. But they seem to work. They are becoming popular in various hobby and DIY monitoring applications.

I bought a 4x6 enclosure at Radio Shack, and mounted two meters and switches for same. One is 200A, for the whole house of the RV including the genset, and one is 100A, for the solar charging. Obviously the 100A could have been smaller, but I already had bought it for the whole house. The supposed ratings for the shunts need to be down-scaled for safety/durability. My genset draws amps in the upper two digits, so I decided 100A was not good enough.

Instructions are a bit Chinglish, but it's all there. You calibrate them, they track amps both directions, and all the basic things you would expect. You can reset the counters, and power down without losing your settings and calibration, contrary to what someone here posted in the past. You can blank the display when needed. Other than that, I have only messed with them to make sure they are functional. I have not had an opportunity to really use them.
  • Service 95% off had to write quick. Internet down today as well as cellular. Laptop is faster anyway cannot even access email from Lin. Tomorrow finhrts crossed

If your amp meter is showing volts, I think there is a serious problem. Also with 2 numbers to the right of the decimal that would be 79 hundreds not tenths. JMO

Mex missed a period, here and there... He was saying "like showing 13.7 volts instead of 13.79 (period) No tenths of an amp (period)
  • he called it an Amp Hr Meter

ones that count../ tabulate accrued amounts
usually have volts amps and watts....AKA Power Meter

    300amps using a shunt..thats high power
  • If your amp meter is showing volts, I think there is a serious problem. Also with 2 numbers to the right of the decimal that would be 79 hundreds not tenths. JMO
  • Is it from elite.elements on ebay?

I have a couple of them. Installed but not yet calibrated....
