Hi, Our old motor home is running almost to the hot line on temp gauge. I just tried to remove thermostat to replace it. Both bolts are rusted tight. I don't want to snap them off. Any one have a way ...

Don't just trust the dash temp gauge ("gauge" term used loosely) ... shoot the radiator, hoses, thermostat housing, etc with an I/R thermometer gun to cross check ... can dip the coolant with a thermostat as well, but you run the risk of hot coolant with the cap off - standard safety warnings apply.
