460 thermostat housing bolts,,

Hi, Our old motor home is running almost to the hot line on temp gauge. I just tried to remove thermostat to replace it. Both bolts are rusted tight. I don't want to snap them off. Any one have a way that works to get them loose? Its a 83 E350 Ford with a 460.

    460 thermostat housing doesn't have nuts, it has threads into the block under the housing. Sprays won't get in there. Use a MBFH(Medium Big Freakin' Hammer) to give them a tap on the heads. Repeat as necessary.

    PB blaster..2 or 3 days.
    If they are still stubborn a propane torch can be used to heat up the stud and nut. Warm it up slowly concentrate the heat on the nut and stud.
