I believe 48v-54v has enough kick in it to provide you with a Teachable Moment. For this reason only I would not do it, even though every other factor lines up solidly in the "plus" column.
If I were fitting out a bus or a yacht, and there was plenty of room to maneouvre in the compartments, AND there were extremely long wire runs, then yes. But RVing is still supposed to be fun, and there's nothing fun about a good shock in a tight spot.
You're going to find plenty of high-quality equipment out there for your spending binge. I have two of the Iota DLS 45/12v along with the parallel cable, and they work well together. You do NOT want the "IQ" feature if you're going to link them.
