This sounds kind of silly, but you could just buy the adapter, cut of the 30A inlet and splice the necessary length of the correct wire on to it. Again, safe if done neatly/correctly. Do NOT use crimp connectors or other low voltage splices ! Use something like an Ideal Splice Block.

Hint, when hooking the cord to he inverter outlet or before inserting the wires into the splice block, use a soldering iron to "tin" the ends of the bare copper stranded wire.
