Hi CA Traveler,
Because the OEM relay had burned contacts within 12 months of my first use. Because the circuit also blew three sixty amp fuses. I replaced the fuse with a 50 amp automatic circuit breaker. It has been fine ever since.

I'd upgrade to one that is rated for at least 100 amps. Mine are 200 amps.
You make me wonder - You have 60A fuses on a 50A A/C pedestal? Doesn't your 50A rig CB trip? I must be missing something since 50A requires a dual CB so that both hot leads will disconnect when either exceeds 50A.
I NEVER switch the AC with high current loads like A/Cs and HW. Mostly all AC sources are off except the refer and charger and since the batteries are generally charged they represent only a few amps. But we all march to our own drummer.
