I have the group 31 USbattery, and it has been a fickle and petulant female dog, requiring lots of attention to get the Specific Gravity back upto near the maximum. Hours at 15.1v each day after a relatively shallow discharge cycle, has not been enough. Can you do 15.3v?
There is something strange with 12V jars in this size and their demands of high voltage "finishing" charges.
My 31 would be recycled at this point if i could not do 15.3v daily and 16v every 2 weeks. This 31 will look at 14.4v and frown and complain and become a much smaller capacity battery very quickly.
The GC batteries appear to be much more friendly in terms of charging currents, these big 12v jars seem to just be petulant whiners who demand attention often, and often attention outside the capabilities of most charging sources.
