Don ... shorter life span? As you may know my two deep cycle Group 29 Interstate AGM coach batteries will be 8 years old around October. Maybe the Group 29 size for 12 volt lead acid batteries does have some magic going for it - even in the AGM world.

Outstanding idea ... build an example and then patent the concept! I would even like my AGM batteries to be in a clear case. Maybe lead acid battereis being in a clear case could somehow help with the problem of "determining when to replace" using visual indications ... instead of the impossible approach of dynamic load testing while still mounted in the RV ... to better estimate end-of-life of your RV's batteries.
