I bought a modified sine wave Power Bright 175W. My 24" Samsung TV works just fine on it, but it only draws 19 to 22 watts when running. No dish, yet. Google Chromebook works fine with it also, about 35 watts max. Only so much space in a 21 foot travel trailer. More a camping rig while fly fishing.

Check out what Winnebago uses. They are a small converter that you can wire directly in a 120 circuit and has a relay in it so if you leave it on and plug into shore power it won't damage it

Based on quality, everybody nailed it. Based on vendor, yeah Besconverter.com is the answer, especially if you want somebody to talk to at some point. My choice would be the Samlex PST-UL and I would step up to the 1500 in case I ever wanted to hard wire it. It is ready.

That's how I'm plugged in too, but I installed a weatherproof box/receptical under the trailer and plug the shore power cord into it. That keeps the wiring simple. I turn off the charger, microwave, etc, and just use the inverter to power the AC receptacles inside the trailer.
