Harbor freight in the US sells a pretty much identical unit.

I bought one 3 or 4 years back on sale for $89. I have ran synthetic oil in it, either Amsoil or Stihl Ultra synthetic.
It is no Honda or Champion, but for the price it has worked great.
First thing I did was replace the spark plug with an NGK.
I now have a champion 2000w inverter so the HF unit doesnt get much use. I have kept it around for backup, but have also found it handy for powering small tools around my back yard.
Parts can be had on the cheap on ebay, just search for "900w generator ..."
Looks like that recoil you need can be had for around $15.
