It may very well have been Optimol, that sounds familiar. It was more expensive than store brand 2 cycle oil but the loss of aggravation with fouled plugs, clogged exhausts, and engine problems made it worthwhile. We used it at a Golf Course where the operators are either pissed off teens or migrant Hombres that may have never pulled a starter rope in their life.

At present, for my own use, I use Stihl 2 cycle oil for the chainsaws and the rest, like string trimmers and outboards, get what ever is in stock.

Yeah, pulling hard on those plastic drive pawls will make something break fast.
The truth is Mr Yang's cousin, Honorable Mr Yin, allows his plastic factory to accept all manner of used plastic and various fluids to be recycled into new product. This is how they get those near 10 kiloton explosions on the docks, little-to-no regulation as to how materials are handled.
