That's an idea. I do need to store the gen in a small compartment in the Truck Camper, so how I would brace it needs to be attachable after taking the gen out. I'll see what I can do.
--The surge protector business is in the King manual, not seen in the HF manual. The HF just shows plug things right in. The spike warning on running out of gas is in the HF manual not in the King manual. (Need X-Ray vision to pull the appliance plug before it runs out of gas?) That might be why they both insist on unplugging the appliance before shutting off the gen?
The HF manual has that good explanation how to prime the carb with the pull cord before yanking on it. I have to try that--might just be my problem there. :(
