- Heir_MaxExplorerDoug, I can tell you have been there, done that. Long story why it has to come out. I have been making out with generator and roof air when needed for about 5 years now. Do you know if the plastic cover can be cut, slide the coil out, replace, and then repair the plastic cover easier than removing it. It is definitely no easy way. I was thinking about trying to remove the dash cover inside and come down from the top. Would that work?
Jerry - AS you see, it is extremely difficult to do. Remove the rf headlight assbly for easier access, you then have to figure out a way to squeeze up in between the cap and the evap housing to take it loose. Removing the firewall to front cap braces also help a little. This is a poor design by National and it is true of all models not just the Tradewinds. Doug
