That's the trouble with Accurite; if you search far enough; and I actually called them, their accuracy is only +/- 2 deg F. I had a weather unit that was out by about 3 plus deg. It was out of the warranty period and they would not make it good.
I have a cheapo Accurite that I think is reading about 2 - 3 deg too low; had thought of using it and mentally allowing for the error. However, I may spring for $70 or so to get the glycol enclosed sensor lab version which says it is accurate to within about a half deg F. Just for peace of mind.
