wireless thermometer

I need a recommendation for a reliable wireless thermometer for my refrigerator. I presently have a unit called "The Weather Channel" by La Crosse Technology. When it works, it seems to be fairly accurate but quite often, the lcd dial/screen goes blank and I have to remove the batteries and go through a reprogramming process which takes awhile and I'm tired of fooling with it and it's ready for the garbage can. Anybody have really good luck with theirs you can recommend?
  • I use several different wireless thermometers to monitor RV temps.

But THIS ONE is the best I've found to monitor the fridge. I use them on two home refrigerators too. No drop outs, and batteries last for over a year.
  • I'll second Corkey's link. We've used that one for a number of years and been quite happy with it. The settable alarms are well worthwhile and can save a lot of spoiled food in the event of a fridge failure.
  • Well Acurite it is then. Thanks guys for the quick unanimous response.

except it wasn't unanimous. two different products from the same company. FWIW when we had an RV fridge we used by Corkey 05. two sensors...one for the fridge and another for the freezer.
