The batts used in EV's are closer in energy density to the one's used in the 787's. They use complicated and expensive BMS's and some require active cooling. They are a LOT more volatile than the LiPo's used in some RV's and racing sailboats. Maybe if you could their BMS's and had proper cooling but I'd just stick to LiPo's for now.
