The system can provide the 18 amps, but not without serious voltage drop. Just as a test I turned on the water heater (1200 watts), air conditioner (1300 watts) and fridge (350 watts). Voltage plummeted to 102 volts. When I turned off the water heater voltage recovered to 107. Even that number is below my comfort zone.
At 103 volts that works out to 27 amps. I'd prefer to not stress their system so even with the autoformer I'll "dial down" to 24 amps. The load support feature, I hope, can provide the rest of the energy--and my solar system helps a bit too.
