A/C drainage. How to control it?

I have a Dometic Duo-therm. Currently it drains wherever it wants to. I went up to see how to "control" it. All I found was it drains out of a rectangle shape tube which dumps right through the pan onto the roof. There is no clearance between the pan and roof. How can I control all the condensation drainage from this unit? Also, Is the compressor and line running to the outer coils supposed to get so hot you can't touch it?

    Only way to stop condensations is to not run the A/C. The higher the temperature and humidity the more condensation will be produced. If you want to direct the water to a certain place a bead of caulk is the best idea.

    I did almost the same thing JRS1871 did about the full window on the rear end of the trailer. This is to direct the run-off into the side ducts instead of coming down the rear window. I used dicor to glue down a long strip of aluminum right angle. I probably could have got away with just a small bead of dicor - didnt think of that...

    I'm looking to avoid it going into the drip rails for now. It needs all new caulking (Cracked, deteriorating)and really, A new roof. Some idiot thought it would be great to spread composite roofing tar all across the front and back and around every opening. (Plumbing vent, Skylight, Etc...). But otherwise, Those are great ideas. Thanks.

    On my Airstream, the A/C was mounted on a pan that collected the water and funneled it into an invisible tube that ran down to the ground so that no water just ran down the side wherever it wanted to.

    On our other fifth wheel, the condensation ran off the back and down the back window. The window and the back of the trailer always looked terrible. We ran a bead of dicor caulk from the far corner of the AC to the edge of the roof by the downspout. It doesn't have to be a really big bead of caulk because the condensation is not heavily, just continous. It worked like a charm for the 8 years we had the trailer.

    I always raise the door side of the trailer alittle higher then the back side to allow the Air Conditioner drain to go to the back side of the trailer. Only take an inch or so...
