The one BIG advantage of the HONDA over all the others is the fuel handling system, they have a genuine fuel pump and the tank is 100% sealed till you open the vent..
Well you can replace the cap with another they sell and add an "Extended run" tank to the Hondas.. In fact, if you wanted to it's techincally possible to use a 5 or larger gallon fuel supply.
Far as I know only HONDA can suck gas out of a can.
Nope... The champion can also be set up to do the same (sell the kits on Flea-Bay).
My little Champ (2000 watt) has a double fuel shutoff, one on the cap and another on the front panel. I keep it inside the RV with no smell whatsoever.
The Honda has a vacuum operated fuel pump that works off crankcase pressure differential, the same one can be added to the Champ with the same results.
The preferred method is using an outboard motor gas tank. Much safer.
Just because they sell kits, doesn't mean it works well. They have sold kits for the Yamahas too. Probably still do. But it is well known that with out a fuel pump, those setups are unreliable.
Never heard of adding a fuel pump to a champion.
Let alone a Honda pump.
Except they do work on the Champion!!!!
