Well, that was easy to find. There are three small bolts that come up from under the bottom (what everything sits on) and hold the fan motor secure. There is a little nut on top of each one securing the fan to the base. One of the screws has a clean break between the base and the foot that is securing the fan motor. You can just lift the foot up off the base. The bolt has to be accessed from underneath but you can't reach it from inside. You have to lift the A/C unit up and access it from under the unit. I think. Can you think of any way to temporarily secure it without taking the whole thing apart? :( I don't have it in me to redo all the wiring etc right now. I really don't.Maybe I could lift it just enough without having to undo the wiring. Ugh. Is this kind of think covered by warranty? Might they makers of this thing pay to have someone come out and fix it? They used a bolt that just broke off for no reason. Everything else is secure.
