I installed a 2nd A/C in the bedroom last summer, a Mach 8. I replaced the fan blade to make it quieter and it's worked great all year. But just recently...just as you're turning the A/C on it sounds...

Very short, yes? So it will go through only the foot and the base of the A/C unit? And not the roof. I don't want to break or compromise the foot though and there's not a lot of room. I'll take a pic. I looked at it running and it doesn't look dangerous but that vibration can't be good for the other components (including the other feet.)
It only hums badly when the A/C is engaged. It sounds normal when it's just the fan.
Could the broken bolt by a symptom and not the problem? Everything else seems secure.
