Regular small bolt (1/4") would be torqued to 20 lbs/FOOT which is basically 'hand tight'
Actually NO.
I was using a regular 1/4" bolt as an example......normal torque would be 20 lbs-ft (hand tight)
BUT the A/C hold down bolts are NOT torqued that tight....they are torqued to 20 lbs-INCH (just snug)
A pound-foot (lb·ft or lbf·ft) is a unit of torque
The foot-pound (ft-lb) is often used to specify the muzzle energy of a bullet, particularly in the United States.
BUT foot-pound is often used as a unit of torque---especially in US.
