Ok, back to the basic.........
You have a battery monitor of some kind on the monitor panel inside the trailer.
While some consider it worthless, they are wrong! It may not be the most accurate thing ever put in an RV, but it works. and it was put there for a reason.
Look at the battery monitor at rest, no engine running for at least an hr. If the monitor is in the red, the battery is dead, and possibly toast.
If the monitor is in the white?? or charged position, then there is hope for the battery.
Now start the engine of the TV, and look again at the monitor. If there is an increase in the voltage on the monitor, (preferably in the green) the battery, if it is good, will be charging.
If there is no change in the monitor when the engine is running, there is either NO charge line from the TV, or it has a disconnect somewhere, and maybe simple as a fuse needs to be installed.
Thanks for the additional details. My monitor is a little more basic than what you're describing but I can probably test in the same fashion. I'm pretty confident that it's the battery. Sorry to ask another question that I should know based on my join date, but wouldn't the battery charge when plugged into shore power?
