A/C not cutting off

Doing that will have NO affect on the "spread" and it won't cut back ON until about 80, if the spread is 8 degrees as was mentioned earlier.

To change his Tstat to a digital may require a new upper board. RVP and Dometic tstats rarely fail by NOT cutting off as in his first post and he has already replaced it is a VERY rare problem. His system does have a 2 to 3 minute delay to keep from short cycling the compressor and causing breaker trip. He needs to post
1. year of RV
2. Model of AC
3. P/N of his tstat
Odds are his wall tstat is NOT sensing the inside temp because there is some heat source transmitting excess heat to the back of where the tstat is located. This can happen when they mount the tstat on a sidewall cabinet of a refer of on the inside sidewall of the RV. Doug

That is a different problem.....and probably means that your A/C unit needs service or replacement, depending in part on what else is served by the breaker that trips.

That situation likely has NOTHING to do with the problem you originally asked about......unless maybe the A/C unit was intended to work with a digital thermostat with a built-in time delay on restart.

IF....the rest of the living space is cooling down but the location of the thermostat is NOT, then that specific location is not getting enough air flow.

Have you tried resetting your t-stat? I have a Dometic dual zone and my heat would run in the main area and A/C in front. Reset t-stat and all is ok.
