Will Single A/C cut it?

We have been in a 37 foot toy hauler fiver (Keystone Fuzion) for 3 years. Most of the trips we take are extremely hot weather - over 100 degrees. Our toy hauler has two 15k A/C units and can't get more than 20 degrees under ambient. When it is 110 outside it is miserable inside.

We are looking at class A RVs now and would rather have one in the 29-31 foot range but those only offer single 13k A/C and 30 amp service. It seems to be around 33 feet where the manufacturers offer dual A/C with 50 amp service. I don't have room to park a 35 footer and a cargo trailer I will need for the toys with a class A.

My question is this - - do the 30 foot class A RVs cool well enough with only one small A/C unit?? I hate to spend 90 grand and still be hot.

BTW - we are looking at Fleetwood, Winnebago and one Jayco. Any comments are welcome good or bad.

    Don't know but we use an oscillating fan in addition to the A/C to spread the cool air around. I assume it is ducted air on the new unit.

    I have a 08 Fleetwood 34 it has a energy management system(EMS) 30 amp and it has 2 15k BTU AC's most of the time the front one does most of the work and the bedroom not so much, I think you would be better off with at least 15K BTU

    Mine does't cool enough with just one when it is really hot. I am thinking about installing a second one in the back. My generator will run two of them. In a CG you can use an alternate power source for the second AC if needed. JMO

    We have a 38ft. and one will work till summer gets here. After that two can not keep up.

    I know that Monaco used to offer the second AC as an OPTION on many of their smaller coaches. You might want to ask the various manufacturers and not stick with what you read in the brochures.

    We have a 2009 Fleetwood Fiesta 29', It has two A/C's on 30 amp. It will run both A/C's but if you use the microwave while both are running one will shut down.

    You can always add the second and run a dedicated outlet to the pole..
    There have been many on here that have done that ,I believe that they ran the wire to a convenient location and placed a box there. This allowed them to run a separate cord from the pole to the 2nd ac feed .

    Our TT is only 26' and one isn't enough really enough if it gets over 103 and we're in the sun.
    I believe you need more cooling power for those kinds of temps.

    Doubt if many MHs with a single roof air will be comfortable in direct sun on very hot days. Night time yes but not quickly. There just isn't a lot of insulation in a MH. RVs are designed to be light with thin wall structures.

    You might have better luck with a single 15K unit upgrade. Our 38ft 5th wheel stays comfortable in 100 plus degree heat. We do keep all of the window blinds closed, awnings on all windows and patio deployed and limit the entrance door open and close (either stay in or out).

    Fans are used to direct cool air into hot spots if needed.
