AC problem from hell: Now compressor is turning off.

Mexicowanderer, I'm trying to avoid a serviceman on this mainly because it's 200 miles round trip to one. If it's a capacitor or relay, I'd be happy to by those parts and swap them out at this point. Both are cheap and taking a small risk of buying something I may not need is not a big concern. I just want cold air. Forecast is 102 on Wed.
