AC Question For Doug

I just installed a second AC in the fiver. This is a second unit so it is cool only, Coleman Mach15, ducted.
I had a mobil RV help me with the installation and for reference he did the wiring will I was working on something else.
Al of the modes work correctly. The problem is, when touching bat at the bottom to change modes, the numeric LED segments go dim and/or are washed out on the display by the back lighting. The unit will go into the selected mode and after a few seconds, the display returns to normal.
Is this a wiring issue or a defective thermostat?

    Hey Bob
Nice to see you're still enjoying your 277RL. I had its sister. We bought ours at the same time close to the same place as I recall. I resealed all the hatches as you instructed and then she was stolen in 2012.

  • Might try reseating the connector on the thermostat and also at the other end where it plugs into the board. Sounds like you’ve got a drop in power supply voltage which probably comes off of the main board. I don’t know your particular system but that’s where I would start.
