I had the same experience in our 2005 coachmen and it turned out to be the thermostat.
I now have a 2012 Sundance and it has a digital thermostat which gives the option of running the fan speed in high, low, or auto, and when in the auto position it will alternate between the high and low speed erraticly, but has never thrown the breaker. It was so annoying I just select the high or low fan speed and no more off on problem.
