acceptable tire age

We are leaving on a cross country trip in a few weeks. My fiver tires are Goodride LT tires with a 3210 DOT code. I am debating on replacing the tires before we leave. I hate to replace them if it is not necessary and they are only turning 6 years old this summer. Goodride is a brand out of China but they have been trouble free for me. Any ideas on whether to keep these or replace them?
  • Lots can be learned from a tire examination. It's at the point when checking the wear pattern, scuffs, splits, signs of heat or bulges, almost anything other than perfect is a good reason to say bye-bye.

But, having said that, an internet search for Goodride LT tires will come up with even more information about what others think.
  • Six year old Chinese tires? Cross country trip?

Six is the maximum years I'd run a tire and certainly not chancing them on a cross country trip. Replacing them now will be a lot cheaper and better than blowing one out on the road in the middle of nowhere or in a middle lane at 60+ on a congested highway.
