Added a propane quick adapter - grill won't stay lit

I recently installed a quick connect adaptor to my camper. When I hook up my Coleman NXT Grill (usually uses 1 lb cylinders), it won't stay lit. The grill works fine with a 20 lb cylinder. I tapped in...

Remove the reg. and replace with a quick disconnect fitting.
I did the same with all my appliances.
