Propane Quick Connect with 1/8" FNPT
Remove the regulator from the grill leaving a 1/8" MNPT showing (this is where your Coleman may differ). Screw the 1/8" FNPT on it with YELLOW PTFE tape. Done.
Yellow PTFE tape is certified for propane.
This propane hose lets you hook the modified grill up to any propane bottle (except the little 1 pound ones). The best of both worlds.
And if you want to use your new regulated gas port, replace the regulator in the above picture with the quick connect fitting in the other picture. If you hooked up your new line properly, it should end in the close-able female quick connect fitting.
