As an alternative, what about buying another CC for the panel? I'm using a 20 amp PWM cheapie that I bought from eBay for $8. The advantage of having multiple CCs is that you don't need to worry about diodes, and adding/removing panels is easier.
The high end RV solar installs in the past six months are putting each panel on its own CC (usually MPPT controllers), so it might be an idea.
