Thanks BFL13. I probably want to route the portable through my existing charge controller unless I'll get more power using a separate controller. Go Power told me my existing panel has diodes built in so if it is shaded and the portable panel isn't I would be fine.
A little off topic buy my Go Power panel has a weird pattern showing on it. Go Power told me not to worry about it but has anyone has seen something similar.
Update: seems to be a rare problem and some people call them snail trails:
