Adding a Water Heater to Six Pac

Hi Folks,

Im adding a water heater to my 2006 Six Pac s650. It already had the hole in it, just needed to cut the siding.

The plumbing/wiring was already there as well, but I can not determine which wire is for what. I have two hot wires (purple and brown), and they both seem to be on the same fuse. THere are two whiteground wires, and a 3rd paired wire with like 22 gauge red and white wires inside of a loom. I am not sure which wires are to be used for the water heater, and which may be intended to use for the heater which would go in an adjacent spot.

Anyone have any ideas?
  • Really depends on which BRAND of water heater you are going to install.

    AND which MODEL it is.

Different wiring schemes for different brands and Models

    More info needed.
  • suburban sw6d but its the camper wires im really trying to figure. Im guessing its fairl low draw for the heater???
  • Need ONE 12VDC Pos wire TO the On/Off Switch and a Ground wire for Fault Light

    Gas valve/controls-----roughly 2A draw

12VDC POS (from fused source in camper) to On/Off Switch
12VDC Pos from switch to DC Junction Box---connect to OEM RED Wire

Blue Wire in DC Junction Box (from circuit board) goes to FAULT Light and then from Fault Light to GROUND Wire

Also need Ground Wire coming from Junction Box-----OEM Yellow and Green Wires

  • thank you. I just so happened to get a diagram like that with my new switch today. I dont however have a yellow wire just a green.
