Adding More Batteries to My Class A - What gauge Wire?

Hi all, I've got a 30' Itasca Class A. It comes with (2) new 12 volt deep cycle batteries located under the doorway steps. I've build a new battery compartment which will hold (2) more batteries ...

I don't like that at all. Parallel distance is too far.

Put the the two on the right in parallel. And the two on the left in parallel.

Your main RV + to the + on the right. Then the negative from the right pair to the + on the left pair. The negative of the left pair to the main RV-.

I would use same size as the main RV cables.
