joel,
A 100a unit is a 100a unit, otherwise Errin is admitting their "consumer" model is a complete piece of crap, period. Once I get the pm3-75 into the mix, I plan to parallel it with the pm4b-45, for 120a into my four 6's. I have absolutely no doubt my bank will accept it. Of course, that would mean I must have gotten lucky, and got a pair of the 'better' units... yeah, right. :(
I'm sorry guys, but this thread has got me peeved! I'm actually starting to wonder if Randy has ever even charged a battery? I mean seriously, how can this guy be so dense when it comes to battery charging, when he makes his living selling battery charging equipment???
Draw your bank down to 50%, set Vabs at 14.5v, and let 'er rip. Anything under 100a means its not a 100a unit, plain and simple... ignore all the excuses and bovine feces. You're clearly being lead down the garden path. I wouldn't care if Randy and Errin were voted the most popular guys on the planet... a line of bs is still a line of bs. They need to man up, imo, and cough up all the return shipping to anyone receiving the wrong products. It's their fault, so why should we pay for their screw ups?
I'm very tempted to send my pm4b back, and demand a FULL refund... if it were only that simple... but I'm actually afraid to send my unit back, for fear of it going missing, like the last one, and then ending up with nothing to show for my near $300, at that point. As it is, I have more than $250 into the 45 amper. 'Nice guys' or not, I just can't afford 'friends' like that. :(
