IF---IF you have an 'automatic temp adjustment' (no temp settings) then you slide the clip with thermistor
UP for Cooler
DOWN for Less Cooler
Overall it only will make a minor tuning of thermostat control....6*F to 8*F
IF you have adjustable temp settings on upper control panel then thermistor should be mid-position for proper t-stat sensing/control
Just select higher number for colder temps
If at MAX temp setting then you have other issues that moving thermistor position will not fix-----obstructed ventilation, too big of clearances, bad element/dirty flue/low LP pressure etc.
