So I got a new dual run cap, properly sized at 60+5 per Advent and now the air is running QUIETER and the compressor kicks in with very minimal noise and rather quickly I might add. There is no long drawn out spin up like it used to.
Problem is, the add-on start cap I bought is still no good. I'm shooting for the fact that it was defective from the get-go so I'm trying to get a replacement for it. For now though, I believe that the properly sized cap in the system will solve a majority of my issues. Still would like to know how that cap got put in there and for what reason.
