Hotel service are the various parasitic loads that occur in most vehicles and RV's.
Alternator would be good--but it is a major expense compared to solar.
Yes you need panels because lead acid batteries, to have a "many cycle" life span, require topping up to 100% state of charge as often as possible.
BTW Mex is on a cell phone connection that is sometimes quite flaky and data rates are quite poor.
